No, this isn’t another swimsuit blog post. This blog post is all about my favorite fashion trend that I can only rock when Texas weather cooperates with me – JUMPSUITS! You might be thinking, “Lydia, I could never rock the jumpsuit”. I know, I know…but you’re WRONG. While it is freakin’ hard to find one that fits just right, I discovered a few places that offer jumpsuits in short, tall and regular sizes. So if these jumpsuits can fit me, they can fit you too!
Am I the only one who giggles at the word “booties” in some contexts!? Probably. Oh well. I’ll embrace that I act like I’m 5 some days.
Well howdy, y’all! I have some GREAT news for you today. FALL IN TEXAS IS FINALLY HERE IN FULL FORCE! I’m talking like…I’ve worn a jacket 5 days in a row now (well at least for part of the day). It’s truly a miracle here in the Lone Star State. And since every girl’s favorite season for fashion is upon us, it’s time for me to share ALL THE BOOTIES you should be buying this fall!
Are you looking for a new restaurant to try? Or maybe something new to do on this weekend? Or what you should check out while you’re visiting Dallas? Well, your girl Lyd has got you covered! One of my favorite hobbies is scouting out the hottest spots in my city and giving peeps the low down on my experience. Now that I’m back home, I feel like I’m catching up on all the new(ish) places that opened up in Dallas while I was gone in September.
Many people complain about my beloved Anthropologie being #unaffordable (which I’ll admit, sometimes it is). Since Labor Day sales are killer this year, I figured I’d share my picks from my favorite store since everything on sale is an EXTRA 40% off! Happy shopping! 🙂
If you’re a girl like me, then let’s have a chat. I used to NEVER wear makeup. Like I’m talking the I-put-on-mascara-in-10-seconds-and-walk-out-the-door type of girl. Lately, I’ve made it a goal to actually get a routine where I look somewhat “put together” in the morning. Amidst packing for one of the more (who am I kidding, probably the most) spontaneous trips in my life (more to come later!), I have realized I actually have products I swear by now! So, I figured I would give y’all the low down on some of the things that will actually make it in my suitcase (since I’m bringing a carry-on for 18 days) because these products pack a punch.
You went to college. You probably did a pretty dang good job while you were there too. You had a good GPA. You had killer extracurriculars. You got an internship or two. Then, you got a job offer. You graduated. You (*potentially*) travelled the world for a bit (because #backpacking). And then you walked into your first job and realized, “what the heck am I doing with my life?!”
The millennial struggle: I got a “great” job, but I’m not saving the world. I go to work and sit in a cubicle (or maybe even a closet) with Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint decks and emails and meetings…and I don’t think I’m changing anything.
Apparently wine is on my travel agendas as of late (or maybe just on my life agenda…). Anyways, my besties and I decided to do a weekend in Fredricksburg last month, which as you know is practically the Napa Valley of Texas (LOL – I’m kidding, y’all). I was pleasantly surprised by this small town because we had some pretty good wine and came out of the trip with some great stories (like that time we saw a parade float that said, “Make America Texas Again”). #TexasForever, people.
